Mike Miller serves as the Transportation Director for the Sycamore Community City School District in Hamilton County. The SCCSD encompasses the cities of Montgomery and  Blue Ash, as well as a large portion of Symmes Township. Previously, he served as a Pupil Transportation Consultant with the Ohio School Boards Association. Prior to working at OSBA, Mr. Miller was ten-year employee of Petermann Transportation. During his tenure at Petermann, Mr. Miller served as the Transportation Director of the West Clermont Local School District, the Transportation Director of the Lakota Local School District, and as an Area Operations Manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Morehead State University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University.
 

Mr. Miller is no stranger to pupil transportation. He began driving a school bus in 1993 while serving as a classroom teacher for the Batavia Local School District. Throughout his teaching and school administrative career, Mr. Miller continued to remain actively involved in pupil transportation in Ohio and in 2003, made pupil transportation his full-time career. He is also certified as an On-Board Instructor in the State of Ohio.
 

He has previously served the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation as Vice President, President-Elect, President, Past President and Director-At-Large. Mr. Miller also served on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Association of School Business Officials from 2011-2013.  In 2011, Mr. Miller was given the honor of receiving the prestigious William Rice Award, and served as the Co-Chair of the SW Regional Road-E-O from 2005-2011.
 

Mr. Miller is a member of NASDPTS, NAPT, and OAPT and has many ties to the Southwest Ohio pupil transportation community. He values the relationships he has built with his colleagues throughout SW Ohio and the state and attributes his success to the support he has received from his pupil transportation family, including his Pre-Service Instructor Fred Anness.

Mr. Miller lives in Covington, Kentucky with his wife, son and daughter.
