The Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation (OAPT) is the pupil transportation affiliate of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials, and the premier association for pupil transportation administrators in the State of Ohio.
OAPT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been a driving force in the safety and efficiency of Ohio’s state-wide pupil transportation program since the 1960s.
Welcome Message from the OAPT President
Hello and welcome to the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation (OAPT)!
I’m honored and excited to serve as your OAPT President. Like many of you, I started in this industry with one simple goal: to help keep kids safe and get them where they need to go. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated, hardworking, and passionate Ohio’s transportation professionals truly are.
OAPT is here to support you—whether you’re behind the wheel, in the garage, managing routes, training new staff, or leading a department. This organization is built on connection, learning, and sharing ideas. Together, we make each other better.
Over the coming year, I hope to focus on building relationships, encouraging professional growth, and making sure our voices are heard at the state level. OAPT has always been about people helping people, and I want to keep that momentum going.
I encourage you to stay involved—attend a conference, join a regional meeting, or just reach out to a fellow member. We’re all in this together, working toward the same mission: safe, reliable transportation for Ohio’s students.
