via Ohio Department of Education…
Good morning Transportation Professionals,
We hope that your summer is off to a great start. We are confident that you have been working hard to ensure that students are receiving transportation services to and from their schools.
We want to take a moment to remind the districts to complete the transportation assurances electronically.
The assurances are due August 1, 2022 for FY23 and will be due August 1 of each new fiscal year. District transportation administration can start the process by logging into their OH|ID portal and selecting the Monitoring Application.
Once in the monitoring application, the district staff needs to select Field Services and Transportation tab. Please ensure under the survey tab that you are clicking on the FY23 Transportation Compliance page. Click search and you will find your survey that you must then start the survey.
Transportation administration will only be able to complete transportation requirements to be monitored section and the transportation role certification.
At this point the superintendent must complete and submit the certification section. The questions that are asked with in the monitoring application are found on our compliance website listed under the transportation list of assurances link.
We thank you for all the hard work you continue to do in student transportation. The Ohio Department of Education’s Pupil Transportation office is committed to supporting the continued safe transportation of Ohio’s students.
If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to schoolbus@education.ohio.gov.
