In 1979, Terry went into full-time Ministry for his church.  He was the Youth Pastor, School Teacher, Coach and Bus Driver there until 1992.  In 1992, Terry started working for Ryder Student Transportation as the Safety Coordinator for their Cincinnati Public School Division.  He was responsible for all the hiring, training and safety for that Cincinnati Division.  During his tenure as Safety Coordinator he was responsible for reducing the accident rate by over 60% and was successful in hiring an average of 50 drivers each year.  Ryder Student Transportation endorsed several of Terry’s initiatives and sent him to numerous Ryder locations across the country where he facilitated numerous Safety Seminars.  He was promoted to Manager and oversaw the opening of a secondary Ryder Garage/Location for Cincinnati Public Schools.

In 1999 Terry became the Assistant Manager at Princeton City Schools.  His responsibilities there were similar to his Safety role at Ryder.  He worked in training, hiring and safety.  Terry instituted several safety initiatives at Princeton.  In 2000, Terry was promoted to Manager at Princeton.  During his time as manager he inaugurated several employment programs that enabled Princeton to be fully staffed for his entire term there.

In 2005, Terry went to work for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as Transportation Manager.  Terry was able to take several safety programs and employment platforms from the school bus arena to CCH.  He was promoted there to Transportation Supervisor.  At CCH, Terry became a part of the “Up-Town Renewal Project”, working with the President of The University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati City Council.  This promoted revitalizing the Up-Town Section of Cincinnati.

In the fall of 2006, Terry became the Head Router and Trainer for Petermann with Hamilton County MRDD.  He installed Versatrans as their primary routing software.  Terry traveled around the state training and expanding Versatrans at several Petermann Locations.  In the summer of 2007 he was promoted to General Manager of Petermann’s Customer Service Center for Talawanda City Schools where he worked until 2014.

Recently, Terry accepted the position of Transportation Assistant Supervisor at Northwest Local SD in Cincinnati. This is the district where he resides, and he is happy to be home.

Terry has been married for 40 years to his high school sweetheart, Linda Susan Hays Williams.  He has two children, Aaron and Tiffany, who are both married.  In April 2014, his first grandson, Brody, will celebrate his first birthday.
